Fiscal Transparency and Accountability

  • Advocate against PILOT’s coming into our village taking taxes off the roll and putting MORE burden on tax payers
  • Charge the administration to be extremely frugal so we can have a POSITIVE FUND BALANCE for the next fiscal year
  • Under my watch this is the most fiscally conservative budget year with the LOWEST increase in taxes despite the LARGEST reduction in state aid.
  • Embrace partnerships with private sector and community based organizations to cut cost while providing efficient programs

World Class Education to Empower our Future Leaders

  • Increase our utilization of Instructional Technology by making our CHILDREN competitive in the 21st century
  • A more rigorous curriculum with increased Advanced Placement Courses, Honors System, Foreign Language In Elementary Schools (FLES), Robotics electives
  • Secondary Education Reform (Small Schools, Increase Instructional Learning Time)
  • Decrease Student Teacher Ratio in our elementary schools by going back to a Grade 1-6 system
  • All schools to have a after-school program for the one on one attention
  • Year long workshop to help students understand course work and pass state exams

State of the Art Facilities for our Students & Staff

  • Lay the foundation for a district wide capital campaign for world class facilities district wide
  • Charge the Administration Renovate and Reopen Prospect School
  • Seek various funding streams to support this agenda
  • Request the most conservative & best fiscal practices are carried out and communicated to the public
  • Charge the administration to be proactive in maintenance of our facilities and grounds

Safer Schools for our Children

  • Ensure that disciplinary policies and procedures are enforced and carried out
  • Partner with police to teach the G.R.E.A.T (Gang Resistance Education & Training) program in our Middle School and Elementary schools to prevent and educate youth about GANGS
  • Effective communication of procedures between parents & school system
  • Decrease the amount of student traffic time and increase the amount of instructional learning time
  • District wide surveillance camera up keep to ensure the safety of children, faculty, and staff.
